About Us

Dorman Nelson has been researching Johnston for many years. There have been many people looking for information and have contributed to the legacy of the Liver Eater. A love of history and the curiosity of what makes us spend our lives in so many ways makes the discoveries wonderful and enlightening. That people were living in the sides of hills or in a sod hut or leanto with no running water, modern conviences or a way to communicate such as it its today makes the search even more facinating.

Our Business

The biography of John Liver Eating Johnston has grown from a few pages to boxes of research material, books, and photographs. This is not only one person's work, but a gathering of notes, letters, diaries, and artifacts contributed by many who share an interest of the American West.
